Summit Concerts

Brian’s appreciation for music and love of live music began at an early age, and little wonder.

At the time that the Summit “solidified it’s place as a premier concert venue”, Foley’s was the official ticket outlet where Glenn Kittinger held a position that included benefits like snagging killer seats for Brian and his friends to attend concerts.

The photo is a screenshot from a bootleg video of Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band’s December 8, 1978 concert, when the Boss jumped from the stage into the crowd where Brian and Mike Kent were seated in the first row.

Other notable concerts at the Summit that Brian would have had access to via Glenn included : The Eagles and ZZ Top in 1976; Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and Chicago in 1977; Journey, The Grateful Dead, Moody Blues and Heart in 1978; The Doobie Brothers and Billy Joel in 1979; and The Who in 1980 which Brian definitely attended, securing the entirety of 3rd row, center stage seats.
